Sounds a bit wacky but relatively straight forwards to do.

Most of the electronic and mechanical parts on the Barco 1208 are the same as it's bigger brother the 1209.

I fact it is probably better to think of a 1208 as a 9" projector with 8" tubes

This gives the opportunity to own a 9inch projector at a very affordable price.

The Red and Blue tubes were taken from a Barco Graphics 1209 that had a broken Green tube.  A partially used Green tube was then fitted using the special mounting adaptors made by Barco.

The image is the same as you would expect from a 1209. Very sharp, bright and with superb contrast thanks to the liquid coupling.

Projector does have a top cover which we forgot to include in the photographs
