8 inch CRT projectors

808s LC Unfinished Project

I've been working on this projector for some time and never got round to completely finishing it.

Here is a chance to own a liquid coupled Barco Graphics 808s (so nearly and Onyx) I think the only difference would be the colour filters

The Liquid coupled lenses make a huge difference to the sharpness and contrast

I tested the projector at the following resolutions and they all converged and focused correctly

Standard video - composite, Progressive Video - Component, RGBHV 1280x1024 - Computer

HD from Blue ray via PS3- 720p, 1080i and 1080p

Barco Graphics 808s with LC lenses £600

This projector originally arrived with the HD8 lenses damaged were the van driver had nit secured the projector at all. I already had a set of P16LNP liquid coupled tubes in stock and after acquiring some HD117 -24 lenses started to put this projector together.


The covers are in pretty good shape. It does have some minor scratches and wear but nothing bad	HD117- 24 lenses. So have a shorter throw than a conventional BG808s	At present the compartment above the tubes does not have a cover

Main input cards	Mute - really these are not the original tubes (I do not have a run time for the P16LNPs)

Unfinished - So what needs doing.

The green has some wear towards the bottom and ideally could do with changing. but by adjusting the angle of the projector and shifting the image towards the top of the raster it is possible to obtain a very satisfactory image. (I will supply another tube mount if the buyer wants to fit their own tube)

There is no clip fixed to hold the case shut (I will supply a suitable clip and turn bolt). the is obviously not an issue if the projector is too be floor mounted.

As mentioned and pictured above there is no cover to the tube section.
